Mrs. Mihalcea holds a Law degree and she is currently preparing her Phd thesis in General Law.

She joined the Chamber of Deputies’ administration in 2000 and occupied different positions, most notable Deputy Secretary General (March-February 2017) and Secretary General since February 2017.

Under her term of office as Secretary General of the Chamber of Deputies, the Romanian Chamber of Deputies hosted important international parliamentary sessions such as the Autumn Session of the NATO PA in 2017, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean Session in 2018, where her experience was decisive for the success of these events.

In 2019, Mrs. Mihalcea plays an important role not only in the smooth running of the meetings under the aegis of the Parliamentary Dimension of the Romanian presidency of the EU Council, but also for those organized at the Governmental level, the Palace of the Parliament being the headquarters of the events hosted by Romania in the first semester of 2019.

Prior to her appointment as Deputy Secretary General, Mrs. Mihalcea served as General Manager at the National Trade Register Office from 2012 to 2016 and Vicepresident of the National Authority for Consumer Protection in 2009.
