The Press Office of the Parliamentary Administration is available for media inquiries. You can contact us from Monday to Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Furthermore, the Press Office supports filming or photo shootings, informs about the parliamentary schedule and is your contact point for accreditation issues.
As part of the Press Office, the Parlamentskorrespondenz reports objectively about parliamentary activities and events. The Parlamentskorrespondenz email subscription service allows you to stay updated about all press releases. You may also select specific areas of interest for your subscription. The email-service is free of charge.
Parliament provides pictures of events, parliamentary sessions and politicians to the media free of charge. These pictures are not for commercial use.
Journalists are asked to show their valid press ID to attend press conferences, events and other appointments of the Parliament in the Hofburg. Please be aware that journalists nonetheless need to pass the general security check at the main entrance at Josefsplatz (Hofburg) before entering the building.
The plenary sessions of the National Council and the Federal Council are open to public, including journalists. Additionally, on the Parliament's website plenary sessions are fully broadcast through livestream and usually also on ORF III.
The Parlamentskorrespondenz are reports about the debates held and resolutions passed in parliamentary committee meetings. Selected committee meetings are open to the public, like those of the EU-committees of the National Council and the Federal Council. Dates of committee meetings open to the public are indicated in the weekly schedule preview (Parlamentswoche) under the menu item schedule (Termine).
