We are looking forward to your visit to the Parliamentary Library and Archives. Please remember to register ahead of time.

Plan Your Visit

The Library and Archives of the Austrian Parliament are open to visitors and researchers. The Parliamentary Library is located on the main floor of the Parliament Building behind the Visitor Center Demokratikum - Experience Parliament.

To make sure that we can provide the materials you would like to access in a timely fashion, please direct your inquiries, including requests for the use of archival materials, to:

We recommend that all guests, including patrons of the Library and Archives, register for a visit ahead of time to avoid long wait times.

Opening Hours

  • Monday to Friday: 8am to 6pm CET
  • Thursdays: 8am to 9pm CET
  • Saturdays: 9am to 5pm CET
  • On days with Council sittings: Extended opening hours until 9pm CET (or until the end of the Council sitting). 

Library & Archives are closed on Sundays and public holidays.

Location

The Library is located within the Parliament building on the main floor, behind the visitor information and the Café Agora. Please use the Parliament's main entrance. The entrance is barrier-free and there are barrier-free work stations available at the Library.
