FAIR FOR ALL

The Austrian Parliament has been awarded the FAIR FOR ALL ("Fair für alle") certification. This national certification is aimed at increasing accessibility in organizations, companies, districts, municipalities, and tourist regions. FAIR FOR ALL is supported by the Ministry of Social Affairs.

For the certification to be awarded, the fulfillment of numerous criteria regarding accessibility is checked. Specifically, this includes training and awareness-raising measures for employees and managers, barrier-free internal and external (web) communication, and the handling of critical feedback by visitors. Focus is on the organization, processing, and understanding of accessibility in daily operations. However, attention is also paid to structural accessibility. For example, there is a tactile floor guidance system for blind people, inductive systems for hearing aid users, and the premises are wheelchair-accessible.

Parliament is the first public institution in Austria to receive the FAIR FOR ALL certification. It is valid until September 2026. After that, recertification is required.
