Research

The Parliamentary Administration organizes various initiatives to promote the development of Parliamentary Research and networking within the field. These initiatives include:

• the annual Day of Parliamentary Research
• the "Research Year in Parliament", which is awarded once a year
• the Parliamentary Library's "Digital Bibliography of Parliamentary Research"

The main task is to support Members of Parliament — in particular the Budget Committee — in their activities related to the deliberation, decision-making, and control of the Federal Budget. The Budget Office prepares:

• Budget analyses
• Analyses upon request of Members of the Budget Committee
• Analyses of legislative proposals
• Performance and gender-budgeting analyses
• Interactive budget visualization (available only in German)
