Awarding of the 2021 Simon Wiesenthal Prize

Content

The Simon Wiesenthal Award was first awarded in 2021 as a testament to Austria's commitment to civil society engagement against anti-Semitism and Holocaust education. Responsible for the annual award, which comes with a total prize fund of 30,000 euros, is the National Fund of the Republic of Austria for Victims of National Socialism, established within the Austrian Parliament. The prize aims to honor the memory of the architect, publicist, and writer Simon Wiesenthal, who dedicated his lifetime to the investigation of National Socialism's crimes.
