Open House Day

Would you like to take a look behind the scenes of the work in the newly renovated Parliament Building? Visit us on Austria's National Day, October 26.

Parliament is open on October 26, 2024

Take a behind-the-scenes look at parliamentary activities and interact with the Presidents of the National Council and the Federal Council as well as the MPs.

A 60-minute exploratory tour will take you through the Building - from the Chambers of the National and Federal Councils to the "Plenarium" under the newly erected glass dome.

As a special highlight, you can visit the otherwise inaccessible committee rooms.

At the end of the tour we will bid you farewell on the ramp of the Parliament with a unique view over the Ringstraße.

Sign up for a guided tour in English!

The Parliament will be open to all interested parties on Open House Day, October 26, 2024 from 10am to 4pm. Due to the expected crowds, we ask you to register in advance online for a time slot. By doing so, you will help us reduce waiting times.

All Open House Day tours will be in German. However, you can also register for all time slots in English. In this case, English-speaking guides will accompany the respective tours.

Register for this via the calendar on the German-language website.

Offers for children and young people

The Open Door Day also includes a varied program for children and young people. The aim is to get to know the role of Parliament and to understand the process of democracy.

A colorful painting station awaits young visitors in the reception area. To make the guided tour more attractive for families with children, there is also a stamp pass for the youngest (up to 10 years) and a quiz for older children (from 10 years). It's worth taking part: There are attractive prizes to be won!
