Open House Day 2025

A Look Behind the Scenes

The Austrian Parliament was open to visitors on October 26, 2025. This year, there was once again the option to book a time slot for a guided tour to enable faster admission to the premises. The tour took visitors through the areas of the Demokratikum – Experience Parliament and the Plenarium, where the glass roof and the Democracy Workshop could be viewed. After visiting the meeting rooms of the National Council, the Federal Council, and the Federal Assembly, individual exploration of the Columned Hall, the Reception Salon, and the committee rooms - usually not open to the public - was possible. There, visitors could also engage in dialogue with the Presidents of the National and Federal Council as well as with Members of Parliament and staff of the Parliamentary Administration. The Parliamentary Administration offered visitors insights and information about plenary and committee proceedings. All services and areas on the Open House Day were barrier-free accessible.
